“Second & Third World” Universities 2015 ranking

BRICS & Emerging Economies universities Rankings 2015

The Times Higher Education ( https://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/ ) published its

“BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015”, powered by Thomson Reuters, to include only institutions in countries classified as “emerging economies” by FTSE, and the “BRICS” nations of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

The top universities ranking uses a similar methodology as the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, covering all core missions of a world-class university – teaching, research, knowledge transfer and international outlook – using 13 carefully calibrated performance indicators.

The first 50 rankings are shown below :

it is to be noted that MENA’s universities are headed by Turkey with however  Morocco’s Marrakesh Cadi Ayyad coming at the 50th and the Emirates as 71st.
